Good Grief
CW: Infertility and miscarriage. If these are topics you don’t wish to engage with, that’s okay! Just mosey along to another part of the website. I am sending you love, and here for you if you need support.
Good Grief takes the guesswork out of knowing what to say or do when life is unfair. They have thoughtful care packages for loved ones, or to treat yourself! They are owned by local mama Mel, and London mama Kris. They are also sisters and AAPI! Their website is organized by shitty life event: losing a job, divorce, cancer, miscarriage, loss of a pet… this list goes on but the support also goes on. I like to think of myself an expert gift giver, but I find myself in some of these situations at a loss for how to show I love someone and am thinking of them. What do you get someone going through grief? How do you show you care without making it weird? The answer: send a Good Grief care package.
I recently quit my job, and I’ve been IN MY FEELS 😅. I’m fighting against immigrant daughter mentality, generational trauma, scarcity mindset, identity shifts… but feeling tremendous privilege that I get to spend time with my baby. It’s good grief, and the box Mel and Kris created for me was a perfect treat during this change.
Take a look at their offerings, you can feel the care and love they put into each box and how intentionally curated each item is. Beyond the item being perfect for the situation, the “who” and the “how” these items are made is also important to the Good Grief team. And let me tell you my box was SO LUXURIOUS! The face mask, the cozy socks… it’s all things I wanted but would never get myself which is my definition of a true treat.
